Mediation
Mediators do not take sides and they do not provide legal advice – that is the lawyer’s job.

Mediators are usually social workers, lawyers, psychologist or other professionals who are
familiar with Family Law. During family mediation, the mediator listens to each party and they
assist the parties reach an agreement on the issues (such as support payments, property
division, custody and access to the children and any other pertinent issues).  Any agreement
reached through Mediation should be reviewed by a lawyer before it is signed.
